Wijnproeverij Lieteberg
THE ABANDONED WINE SHOP IN BELGIUM
Explore ‘Wijnproeverij Lieteberg’, a unique and mysterious place. This is an abandoned wine-tasting room and wine shop. It was left suddenly. Many items were left behind. It feels like time stopped here. The villa in Aarschot was abandoned in 2005.
The villa is hidden in the forests surrounding the Belgium city Aarschot. As soon as you enter, you can see wine bottles on display on the shelves. They are covered in dust, but still sealed. The air smells like old wine. On the tables, there are glasses with wine. Some are still full, growing mold. It looks like people left in a hurry.
The walls have old wine posters. They are just memories. The floors are wooden, creaking under your feet. It adds to the spooky feel of the place.
Exploring this house is like stepping back in time. You wonder why it was abandoned so quickly. What happened? Why did people leave everything behind? These questions make the visit even more intriguing. I visited the wine tasting room and shop in 2011 and 2012. Follow this link for more wine-related abandoned locations.
